Mission Statement
Rotary Youth Camp provides free overnight summer camp for severely physically disabled, Down's syndrome and autistic children in the panhandle area of Florida.  For the last 20 years it has been supported by the local Rotary Clubs, who annually provide funds and dinners for camp.
Needs Statement
1.  money for scholarships for disabled children, $1,600 each
2.  A fire pit for nightly campfires accessible for wheelchairs $2,500
3.  A trailer retrofitted to carry wheelchairs $4,000
4.  Funding for full time nurses and disposable medical supplies $5,000

Impact Statement

Background Statement
For over 20 years the Rotary Clubs of district 6940 have raised money to hold a summer camp in Gadsden County for disabled children from Pensacola to Lake City and south to Levy County.  The camp serves no less than 80 children annually who receive a free 7 day, 6 night experience with archery, swimming, boating, fishing, art & crafts and other camping activities.  The camp also serves their families and caregivers who get a well deserved break.

Board Chair Statement
Once a person attends camp to serve food or deliver a program or just volunteer, they experience a life changing event.  They become committed to  providing a service to these children who say very little themselves and who need so much.  I have served this group for over ten years, and it is one of my most rewarding experiences in life.
CEO Statement/Executive Director Statement This camp brings pure joy and fun to children who have no other option for such an outdoor, healthy experience.  The expression on their faces says it all, camp is a unique and valued part of their lives and helps them to value themselves.

Program Success Monitored By Interviews with the campers, behavioural modification testing for emotional and physical success
Examples of Program Success One of our campers is a featured athlete in Junior Special Olympics of Florida.  100% of campers want to return annually.  95% of counselors return annually.

CEO Comments We are authorized by our bylaws to have one voting member for each contributing Rotary club.  Many clubs are too far away to send a representative and we have added a conference call to all our board meetings.  This is slowly increasing our attendance.
