Background Statement
In October of 2008, Wendy Hedrick and Jessica Hanson met for lunch to discuss starting a professional women's clothing closet in Tallahassee.  Wendy and Jessica were familiar with Dress for Success Worldwide, however they were not sure whether there was a chapter in Tallahassee. The girls reached out to Dress for Success Worldwide and discovered that Tallahassee was a target community for Dress for Success' services, however no chapter existed. After discovering this information, Wendy and Jessica decided to apply. Approximately a year later, Dress for Success Worldwide gave its approval and Dress for Success Tallahassee suited its first clients on August 26, 2010.

Dress for Success Tallahassee serves economically disadvantaged women who are dedicated to entering the workforce and establishing careers. Dress for Success Tallahassee receives client referrals from community partners.  Each client receives a complete outfit:  suit, blouse, shoes, handbag and accessories during the interview suiting.  Once a client lands a job, she may return to Dress for Success Tallahassee for additional workforce attire.  A first impression is priceless and Dress for Success Tallahassee intends to help its clients make a positive and lasting first impression.
