Reviewed Icon: What does the Reviewed Icon mean?

The Reviewed icon indicates a nonprofit’s profile is complete and has been updated within the year. If an organization indicates it has a document/policy (i.e. strategic plan, conflict of interest policy, etc.), Foundation staff verifies the document’s existence.

Does the Community Foundation endorse organizations?

The Foundation does not endorse or recommend nonprofit organizations.

Does the Community Foundation guarantee the accuracy of data?

The narrative information in each profile is voluntarily provided by the nonprofit. The Foundation does not guarantee the accuracy of any data, make any representations or warranties with regard to nonprofits in the database, or verify they are in compliance with all state and federal requirements.

Missing Nonprofits: My organization isn't listed?

Some local nonprofits have not completed a profile on There are many nonprofits that are in the process of completing their organization profile. Please visit the website frequently to see which nonprofits have recently completed their profile. At this time, only contains organizations located in the Big Bend area and does not contain profiles for religious organizations operating for religious purposes (i.e. churches, synagogues, mosques, etc.) or statewide organizations. The Foundation's criteria to participate on the website is: 1) Organization must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, 2) Provide at least 75% of their mission work in one or more of the 10 county Big Bend area (Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor and Wakulla Counties) and 3) File and IRS Form 990 and provide at least one year of financial statements.
